Blogging Etiquette

I am THE GIRL WHO...is so new at this that I don't know blogging etiquette.

Am I allowed to blog hourly? I have a feeling that much like most things in my life I will become obsessed with this for a little while and will check it and think about it and post things and I will pet and love it, I love my little blog, your naughty... sorry but what blog is complete without a Tommy Boy reference!

Other blogging etiquette inquires:

Is it okay that I sent my blog address to every person I have ever met?
If yes, is it still okay that as we speak I am getting estimates from printers to have cards made up with my blog address on them to hand out, and is 500 to many?
If no, I apologize for sending you the address and more sorry for having the time to ramble on aimlessly in a blog, but not having the time to see how your new husband/child/job/house are doing, I stink!!

Is it okay to post things from other people's blogs?
If yes then I will be honest my sweet, hilarious friend Marianne and her husband were my inspiration to start blogging, and I realized that I want to talk about all the stuff they have posted, I want to add all of the side sections ( I don't know what they are called in the blogging world) that they have added i.e "Blogs we read" "Music we are listening to" and the like.
If no is that stealing, or is it that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery?

Is it okay to post things about other people?
If yes, even if they don't know?
If no, even if they don't know?

Is there an expected blog length?
If yes, is this one already to long?
If no, maybe you should suggest one to me so I don't get carried away!


I can see how to the veteran blogger these questions may seem benign, I mean it is after all MY blog, right? I can write what I want ,when I what, for as long as I want... OOHHHH, I am going to LOVE blogging!!!!!!!!!!!!
