May be just me...

To me: Any type of pun, alliteration, hyperbole or double entendre is FUNNY! I recently came across one of the funniest examples of some of these at http://www.wescooppoop.com/!! Applause, applause, applause to whoever came up with this website!

To me: Football really is a religion! My friend Jeff and I recently went to training camp in San Antonio to see our beloved Cowboy's, and it was AWESOME!! I realized while sitting there how much devotion to your team and devotion to your religion have in common. First, it is something you get from your family, your parents take you to church you come home you watch football, the two go hand in hand. You start to love something before it really makes sense to you, and then at the age you start to really question things your belief in your team or your religion is already so deep in you that the belief alone in them erases any real doubt! Second, it is very rare to switch teams or religions. It is funny in this day and age of instant gratification, we want what we want when we want it. Any devoted sports fan knows their will be times ( for the Cowboy's decades) where you are NOT getting ANYTHING you want! And Christians know that day to day can be a struggle, we try and try all because we know in the end the reward is glorious! Third, it's community building! Celebrating your team, celebrating the sacraments! Both are beautiful! Surrounding yourself with thousands, sometimes millions of people who all have the same goal! You are bonded to each other, you care for each other and in church or in the stadium you PRAY for the same things!

To me: Text messaging is overrated! If you really want to talk to someone, talk to them!

To me: TV is the root of all evil! HOURS pass by and I have done NOTHING! And it doesn't even bother me! I will watch hours of shows about teenagers, single 40 something bachelors, little people, ginormous families... I have no standards! I am completely defenseless against a marathon! I don't even have to LIKE the show!

To me: Blogs are where all the cool kids are! Reading them, writing them, commenting on them ( wink, wink!)
